Trump's normalisation push exposes a Middle East at war with its own contradictions

Washington is leaning hard on Arab capitals to normalise with Israel. The pressure may produce signatures. It will not produce peace — because the structural conditions that make peace possible have not changed, and no amount of diplomatic arm-twisting can manufacture them from thin air.
